The Holy Trinity Church of England Secondary School

Headteacher’s Welcome

It is both my pleasure and an enormous privilege to welcome you to The Holy Trinity Church of England Secondary School. We are a Voluntary Aided Church school with a rich history and a reputation for excellence.  We provide an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.  This is a happy school where faith is valued, and which is underpinned by core Christian values of mutual respect and compassion based on the Gospel of Christ.

This website holds a range of information no matter what your interest is in our school.  Parents, please visit the Parent Portal, which has content specifically for you. If you are interested in your child joining the school or joining us as a Sixth Form student then there is a range of information under admissions and in the prospectus.  If you are interested in joining us as a member of staff, then the vacancies section has what you need.  Current students and staff can access emails, calendars and Citrix through the Student Portal or Staff Portal.

It is my firm belief that the best education combines high standards of academic achievement with strong moral and spiritual guidance. Education should provide opportunities for every individual child to succeed in a variety of ways; preparing young people for a future in which they can thrive in their chosen career paths in addition to becoming responsible, caring citizens. This is what we aspire to at Holy Trinity.   Furthermore, I believe that learning should be fun, students should feel happy and safe and every individual should experience success. We work hard at Holy Trinity to achieve this for our students.

We are proud of our ethos, our all round high standards and our strong emphasis on personal development. We believe children deserve the best education possible and values that prepare them for the future. We are committed to providing both.  Indeed, I believe that Holy Trinity is a very special place to be. I am proud of our wonderful students, the dedicated staff and the supportive governors and parents, and most of all I am very proud to lead The Holy Trinity Church of England School.  Please feel free to arrange a visit to the school or to contact us for further information.

The Holy Trinity Values and Ethos Statement

Mission Statement

Our mission is to be a centre of excellence for learning inspired by Christian values where young people fulfil their potential.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to be a vibrant school which nurtures with compassion and challenge, promoting a culture of success and contribution to our community.

Values Statement

Our Values are encapsulated in our Core Values statement. We expect all members of the school, students and staff to subscribe to and do their best to ‘live out’ these values in their work and relationships within the school.

At Holy Trinity we aspire to be the best we can be in everything we do. “All things are possible for one who believes”. Mark 9:23

At Holy Trinity everyone respects and cares for each other and the community around them. “You shall love your neighbour as yourself”. Mark 12:31

At Holy Trinity we are forgiving. “The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made”. Psalm 145:8-9

At Holy Trinity we embrace the positives in our community. “So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart”. Timothy 2:22

At Holy Trinity we show integrity and take responsibility for our choices. “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin”. James 4:1

At Holy Trinity we show humility and put others first. “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others”. Philippians 2:3-4

We aim to:

  • Value ourselves, and each other, as individuals with unique gifts and talents • Value the communities we are part of • Value the world we live in

This school is proud to be a comprehensive school Each member of the school community is unique and brings special gifts to our school. We celebrate this and believe all students and staff can reach their potential and make a positive contribution to the world in which we live.
